- Unclaimed rewards show a 💰 icon
- Claimed rewards show a ✅ checkmark
Claiming Rewards

Keep track of what you've claimed:
- Claimed rewards are hidden by default to keep the feed clean
- Click "Show Claimed Rewards" to view your history
- See when you claimed each reward (timestamp shown)
- Rewards cannot be unclaimed once processed
Understanding Loot Distribution
How loot works in Mythoscript:
- Automatic Distribution: All party members receive the same loot
- Gold Conversion: Currency is converted to coins in your purse
- Item Handling: Equipment goes directly to your bag
- Party Split: The rewards feed shows suggested splits for fairness
Loot is distributed to ALL party members when the encounter closes. Coordinate with your party about who takes what!
Character Management
Leveling Up
When you gain enough XP to level up:
- A Level Up notification will appear
- Click to open the level-up modal
- Increase your hit points
- Select new class features or spells
- Apply Ability Score Improvements (ASI) when available
Equipment & Inventory
Manage your gear on the Equipment and Bag pages:
- Equipment: Quick-slot weapons, armor, and accessories
- Bag: View all items, manage quantities, and track encumbrance
- Marketplace: Buy and sell items when the market is open
- Swapping Equipment: When you equip a new weapon, the old one returns to your bag automatically
- Campaign Rewards: Loot from encounters appears in the rewards feed
Equipped items cannot be sold. Unequip them first in Equipment.
Your old weapon doesn't disappear! It goes back to your bag when you equip something new.
Spells & Spellcasting
For spellcasting classes:
- Prepare spells on the Overview page
- Track spell slots and cast spells during gameplay
- Long rest to restore all spell slots
- Some classes recover slots on short rest (check your class features)
Combat & Health
Tracking Hit Points
The Health page helps you manage combat:
- Take Damage: Reduces current HP
- Heal: Restores HP (cannot exceed max)
- Temp HP: Temporary buffer that absorbs damage first
- Short Rest: Roll hit dice to recover HP
- Long Rest: Restore to full HP and recover hit dice
Death Saves
When your HP reaches 0:
- You fall unconscious and begin making death saves
- Roll a d20 each turn: 10+ is a success, 9 or lower is a failure
- Three successes: You stabilize
- Three failures: Your character dies
- Natural 20: Wake up with 1 HP
- Natural 1: Counts as two failures
Taking damage while at 0 HP counts as a failed death save. Critical hits count as two failures!
Conditions
Track status effects on the Health page:
- Blinded, Charmed, Deafened - Sensory impairments
- Frightened, Grappled, Paralyzed - Movement restrictions
- Poisoned, Restrained, Stunned - Combat penalties
- Unconscious, Exhaustion - Severe debuffs

Troubleshooting
Q: My character isn't loading
A: Try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, clear your browser cache or try a different browser.
Q: Items aren't appearing in my bag
A: Check that you completed the purchase/acquisition. Refresh the page to sync with the server.
Q: I can't join a campaign
A: Verify the campaign code is correct (case-sensitive). Make sure you're logged in and have a character selected.
Q: Spell slots aren't restoring
A: Make sure you're taking a long rest (not just short rest). Some classes have special slot recovery rules.
Q: My equipment isn't showing correct AC
A: Check that items are equipped in the right slots. Some armor has DEX modifiers that affect total AC.
Q: How do I export my data?
A: Go to Settings → Account section → Click 'Export Data' button. A JSON file with all your characters will download automatically.
Q: I claimed rewards but items aren't in my bag
A: Refresh the Bag page. Items should appear in your inventory after claiming. Check the bottom of your bag list - new items are added to the end.
Q: My old weapon disappeared when I equipped a new one
A: This was a bug that's been fixed! Your old weapon should now return to your bag automatically. If you lost items before the fix, contact support.
Q: How do I distribute loot to specific players?
A: Currently, loot is distributed equally to all party members. Coordinate with your party about who keeps what items. Trading features coming soon!
Q: The marketplace is closed - how do I buy items?
A: Your DM controls marketplace access. Ask them to open the market on their DM page. This simulates traveling to a town or finding merchants.
Q: Can I see what loot I've already claimed?
A: Yes! On the Bag page, click 'Show Claimed Rewards' in the Recent Campaign Rewards section to see your full reward history with timestamps.
